HostSearch.com and AddMe.com Launch New Forum

July 25, 2008
July 25, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – HostSearch.com (https://www.hostsearch.com), the Internet’s leading website dedicated to web hosting and related areas, and partner AddMe.com (http://www.addme.com), the Internet’s leading search engine submission and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) website, have launched a forum dedicated to Search Engine Optimization, it was announced today. The forum aims to be a vital resource “for anyone serious about improving a website’s position in search engine results”.

“It is important for HostSearch.com to provide visitors with the best SEO information available,” suggested the site’s Web Editor John Hughes. “Hosting is just a part of the picture for our visitors, whose main focus is setting up websites. Rather than reinvent the wheel and give people our interpretation of SEO, we have brought in recognized experts – AddMe.com. There’s no point informing people about a topic if people do not have somewhere to raise issues and give their opinions on a constantly evolving area, and that’s where the forum comes in – it allows visitors to discuss real time issues and get the benefit of both peers and AddMe.com’s expertise”.

Although launched a short while ago as a component of HostSearch.com Forums (https://forums.hostsearch.com), the SEO forum has already generated significant interest. Topics currently discussed in the forum include the difference between 301s and 302s, when you can take a 301 off a website, the impact of changing IP addresses on ranking, and the function of “nofollow” tags. “I am really looking forward to this forum developing,” added Mr. Hughes.

“There has been a lot of talk on a number of sites recently about algorithms developing to a point where SEO will be redundant,” explained AddMe.com’s Matt Hodgson. “That’s highly unlikely in my book. As long as there are search engines there will always be search engine optimization. At the very minimum there are a number of “dos and don’ts” that will stop people being penalized and at least give their sites a fighting chance. I am hoping this forum will convey these points, but more than this, provide some advanced tips for people who really want their sites to fly. It’s going to be exciting I am sure”.
