December 19, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – HostSearch.com, the Internet’s largest source of searchable information related to web hosts and their products and services, has announced changes to the way web hosts can become “Support Members” and benefit from the site’s advertising options. In addition, HostSearch has announced the introduction of a brand new content section designed for advertisers - the “Advertising Center”.
Previously, those wishing to become Support Members paid a $49 annual fee and prepaid at least $50 to their member accounts to be used against advertising fees. As of today the annual membership fee will be waived and simply prepaying $50 into a HostSearch account will activate Support Membership status and provide access to the site’s wealth of advertising options.
HostSearch.com offers Support Members a number of advanced advertising options that enhance more traditional banner or button advertising. With a searchable database, web hosts’ details appear in visitors’ search results. Support Members are able to use the $50 they credit to their accounts to make bids on a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) basis to put their details higher in search results and improve their exposure to potential customers. Support Members are also able to improve their position in HostSearch.com’s ‘Host Promotion’ section, where special hosting offers and deals are advertised. They can also receive genuine sales leads from HostSearch.com’s “Host Quote” program - an option where HostSearch visitors submit enquiries directly to participating hosts who reply with the products and services that meet their requirements.
Alongside changes to their approach to Support Members, HostSearch has also established an ‘Advertising Center’ – an area of the site which provides full details on each advertising option available through HostSearch.com and information on terms and conditions of usage. The section provides a new Flash presentation providing an overview of all HostSearch.com options alongside a series of static pages providing similar information.
