Hybrid Cloud and Hosting Provider RackForce Announces a New Version of Virtual Data Center Services
Hybrid cloud and hosting provider RackForce has announced the launch of a new version of its Virtual Data Center (VDC) services. The new version utilizes the VMware vCloud suite and provides better performance, scalability and manageability than previous versions.

RackForce is noted for providing green hybrid cloud and hosting services, providing colocation, server management, disaster recovery and a range of network services. The company's VDC Service is provided through the its hosting centers in Kelowna, B.C. and Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Through the service RackForce provides a fully managed infrastructure which enables customers to establish virtual machines quickly and easily, without the need of support. Customers can also access a range of services from a variety of resources using pre-built images that speed deployment and establish security policies.

The VDC Service supports open standards including the vCloud API and Open Virtualization Format (OVF). This allows administrators to move workloads between the company's Virtual Data Centers. The system also allows users to increase resources to accommodate increased business needs. A standard configuration of the Virtual Data Center vCloud-E allows resources to be increased up to 48 vCPU and 512GB of RAM, but greater scalability for custom solutions is also provided.
