Hybrid Cloud IT Data Protection Company Acronis Partners with Google Cloud
Hybrid cloud IT data protection company Acronis has partnered with Google Cloud. Acronis, which has headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts, United States, was established in 2003. The company caters to 5 million consumers and 500,000 businesses globally, offering a range of data protection services. It “sets the standard for hybrid cloud data protection” with backup, disaster recovery, secure file sync and share solutions that leverage the Acronis AnyData Engine – an easy, complete and affordable data protection solution for “files, applications and operating systems across any environment”. Acronis’ latest strategic partnership allows the company to extend public cloud access for easy backup storage and disaster recovery.

Acronis’ backup solutions will integrate with the Google Cloud Platform, increasing upload speeds and, as it adds cloud regions where “Acronis' partners and customers can store their data”, increase data sovereignty options for users around the world. Acronis' partners will now be able to offer data protection services to “millions of customers who already use Google Cloud Platform”. Acronis will extend support for Google Cloud workloads and offer a Google Cloud deployment model for the Acronis Backup management server. It will also allow the Google Cloud Platform to be used for disaster recovery. As a result of the partnership, Google will increase its mid-market penetration through the inclusion of “thousands of Acronis' partners”.

"The integration of Google Cloud with Acronis backup products is one of the top requests from our users," explained the President of Acronis, John Zanni. "There are many businesses who have invested in public cloud infrastructure. We're making it easy for them to use it with Acronis."

"By partnering with Acronis, an established leader in the industry, we hope to make the customers data protection journey even easier."
