ViaWest is to acquire cloud company INetU. A Shaw Communications, Inc. company, ViaWest has headquarters in Greenwood Village, Colorado, United States. The company offers a range of “tailored” products and services alongside cloud offerings, including colocation, security and compliance options. It offers its options through a network of 29 data centers located in North America. ViaWest will purchase INetU in a deal that will cost the company US$162.5 million.
INetU has headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States and bills itself as “the customer-centric cloud company”. The company prides itself on offering “state of the art managed cloud and hosting solutions” alongside world class support. It offers public, private and hybrid cloud environments through network of data centers located in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. INetU’s customers include Fortune 100 companies. ViaWest is purchasing INetU from private equity company BV Investment Partners and the company’s other shareholders.
"Our acquisition of INetU advances our offerings and strengthens our position as a premier Hybrid IT solutions provider," explained ViaWest’s CEO and President, Nancy Phillips. "It will allow us to add new services and capabilities to our cloud and managed offerings, and expand our geographic footprint with East Coast and European cloud locations to offer our customers more choice for deployment of their applications."
