Edge Hosting has successfully completed its latest SSAE16 SOC2 Type II audit. Edge Hosting, which has headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, was established in 1989. The company’s mission is to “to be the easiest partner to host business critical, secure, and compliant web sites and applications”. Its services extend to FedRAMP, PCI, and HIPAA-compliant managed hosting services and public, private, and hybrid cloud hosting alongside ‘Managed Services for AWS’.
Edge Hosting provides services to a number of “highly regulated industries” including government bodies, financial services, and the healthcare industry. This is the third time in a row the company has received SSAE16 SOC2 Type II certification without any exceptions stated by the auditor.
‘Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements’ (SSAE) 16 ‘Service Organization Control’ (SOC) 2 Type II was established by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in 2010. Superseding SAS 70, the certification covers controls covering “security, availability, processing integrity confidentiality, or privacy” as demonstrated by a third-party compliance audit. Edge Hosting’s latest audit was carried out by Minneapolis, Minnesota-based accountancy firm and professional services network CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA).

This is especially the case for our clients in industries with high levels of regulatory scrutiny.”
