Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud hosting provider
LayerStack has upgraded its cloud server infrastructure in Singapore. LayerStack, which has headquarters in Hong Kong, operates a network of data centers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. The company offers an Openstack redundant cloud platform that provides “multiple solutions for the cloud deployment” and is “an ideal environment for testing and developing different kind of cloud products”. Its upgrade applies to the cloud server hosting and network equipment at its Singapore-based Tier3+ rated Equinix facility known as ‘SG1’.
By expanding SG1, LayerStack’s data center is able to cater for Southeast Asia’s current and future bandwidth requirements. The upgrade has significantly increased bandwidth availability through the Singapore data center and provided enhancements in terms of network speed and scalability. The upgrade also enables LayerStack to more effectively cater for resource and bandwidth hungry applications like Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP), disaster recovery and video conferencing.
LayerStack has been in the news recently for launching four data centers in three locations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. The company’s expansion aims to address the region’s growing requirements for data center services. “In the future, LayerStack’s footprint will continue to expand around the world,” explained the company’s press release.
