Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider 3W Infra B.V. (
3W Infra) has announced it has achieved two key certifications. 3W Infra, which was established in 2014, has headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The company provides a range of “enterprise-grade” hosting solutions that are designed to meet individual customer requirements. Its services extend to dedicated servers and collocation provided from an Amsterdam-based data center. The company has achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and PCI-DSS standards.
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 provides a set of requirements for “establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving” organizations’ information security management systems and provides requirements for the “assessment and treatment of information security risks”. Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification considers controls to reduce credit card fraud and enables organizations that manage credit cards to protect sensitive data. For both certifications a company has to agree to independent third-party IT audits, which in this case were carried out by Hazerswoude-Rijndijk, Netherlands-based IT audit and consulting firm, Noordbeek B.V. Both certifications ensure 3W Infra has “enterprise-grade controls in place” that protect the information and payment data of its customers.
“We see quite some service providers in the worldwide hosting industry eager to serve enterprises and other customers with high demands and mission-critical operations, but we don’t see many of them achieving accreditations like ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and PCI-DSS, especially not the relatively smaller hosting providers,” explained 3W Infra’s Managing Director, Roy Premchand. “We know it’s not cheap to have these ISO/IEC 27001 and PCI-DSS quality guarantees embedded in your organization, but we think it’s a good step towards GDPR compliance and a big plus for our mission-critical customers who already entrust their IT infrastructure to 3W Infra - among them international companies within gaming as well as cloud services providers with global operations”.
