IaaS Provider Latisys Signs Managed Hosting Services Agreement with CMAC Transportation
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider Latisys has signed a multi-year Managed Hosting Services agreement with CMAC Transportation. Latisys, whose services include data center colocation, managed hosting, and cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions, will provide CMAC with Managed Hosting services that support the warehousing, consolidation and transportation services company's integrated Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution.

Hosting its solution stack on the Latisys enterprise platform will enable CMAC to deploy applications more efficiently and cost effectively, and help them avoid the complexities of purchasing and operating hardware and software solutions.

Latisys' operates a SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 data center platform totaling 343,000 square feet that meets the highest availability and security standards. The company operates seven Tier III data centers located across the United States, forming a network that offers multi-site redundancy, managed backup and secure disaster recovery.

"CMAC is a great example of a new breed of innovative IT organizations that look to IT outsourcing to lower costs and improve speed to market," explained Latisys' CEO, Pete Stevenson. "Like many of our enterprise customers, CMAC is able to reduce CapEx and improve control and visibility while at the same time become more nimble and innovative."
