ICT provider Irideos has acquired cloud services provider ‘
Enter’. Irideos, which has headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, was established in 2001. The company provides management consultancy services and offers data management solutions to help ‘data-driven’ companies manage their IT strategies. The company operates “predominantly in the Amsterdam area” and prefers “working with start-ups or small but wide-scoped companies”. Irideos’ acquisition of Enter will help consolidate its position in Italy’s cloud and data center market.
Enter, which has headquarters in Milan, Italy, was established in 1996. The company is “a leading European network and cloud provider focused on providing connectivity, data center and internet solutions” and offers hosting, cloud and Internet Service Provider (ISP) services with a focus on Europe, the United States and the Asia-Pacific. Its IP backbone has the largest number of PoPs in Europe and takes in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Madrid, Stockholm, Brussels, New York, and Hong Kong. Enter’s Cloud Suite was established in 2012 and was Europe’s first OpenStack-based cloud IaaS service. As a result of this acquisition, Enter will be able to offer a broader range of services “with a densified fiber footprint and additional colocation opportunities throughout the Italian market”.
