May 20, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Identity and trust assurance provider Comodo (http://www.comodo.com) has announced the launch of a free anti-virus solution. Comodo Anti-Virus V1.0 is “one of the most powerful Anti-Virus solutions ever created free for all home users”. The “enterprise class AV solution” is offered free of charge but, according to the company, “outperforms other solutions – free or paid”.
What is available to users represents a complete version of the product with a free ongoing license. The solution leverages Comodo’s Certification Authority expertise to identify and eliminate threats such as viruses, worms, and Trojans. The system’s features include full scanning, email scanning, process monitoring, worm blocker and scan scheduling. In addition, virus definitions are automatically downloaded and loaded into the software.
