Inc. Magazine Selects Web Hosting Provider AISO.Net as One of the Top 50 Green Companies

November 16, 2006
November 16, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Inc. magazine has selected web hosting provider AISO.Net (http://www.aiso.net) as one of the top 50 “green” companies, it was announced yesterday. The company will feature in the inaugural "The Green 50" list highlighting the United States’ “most successful environmentally responsible companies”.

Established in 1997, AISO.Net is a solar-powered web hosting company based in Romoland, California – purportedly the first in the state and the only web host utilizing solar energy to power its data center and network. According to the company it is the only “true 100% solar powered data center” because it does not purchase energy credits – a practice employed by a number of web hosts. AISO.Net will become the first and only public data center in North America to add a green roof to their facility.

"The Green 50 award is well timed as we migrate all of our physical machines and our clients' machines into this new redundent virtual environment," explained Phil Nail, Technology Manager for AISO.Net. "Inc. magazine was able to see that we are trying to help the environment in many ways on top of being a solar powered data center and has chosen to shine a spotlight on our business. It is our hope that the Green 50 will serve as examples to promote the idea that there are ways to profitably do the right thing for our environment."

AISO.Net hosts websites and dedicated servers for a worldwide customer base. The company uses a VMware and NetApps' clustered SAN (storage area network) solution to enhance their data center and reduce electricity usage. Being listed as one the United States’ 50 “green” companies means they will be featured on both the Inc.com website and in the November 2006 issue of Inc. Magazine.
