Industry Analyst EMA Names ‘Open Cloud’ Provider Platform9 One of Top Three Hyperconverged Systems
Industry analyst EMA has named ‘Open Cloud’ provider Platform9 one of the ‘top three’ hyperconverged systems in the United States. EMA, which was established in 1996, specializes in “providing deep insight across the full spectrum of IT and data management technologies”. The company, which has headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, United States, provides research, analysis, and consulting services that help customers provide insight into industry best practices, and offer “in-depth knowledge of current and planned vendor solutions”. Platform9 was mentioned in one of EMA’s analyst reports.

Platform9 is a “next-generation open cloud company which provides services that enable customers to efficiently manage hybrid clouds, DevOps and containers. The solutions it offers include cloud visibility and control options, self-service provisioning, managed OpenStack, managed Kubernetes and managed Fission. The company also offers a range of training options. To establish eligibility for the ’Enterprise Decision Guide for Hybrid Cloud, Containers and DevOps’, EMA considered the company against “260 randomly-selected North American enterprises with 500+ employees”.
