Cloudian, Inc. (Cloudian) has suggested that information management company Veritas Technologies now offers Cloudian HyperStore S3 Connector support in Feature Pack 5 for its Backup Exec 15 solution.
Cloudian, which has headquarters in Silicon Valley, California, United States, is recognized as a software-defined smart data storage leader. The company’s products extend to Cloudian HyperStore, a “fully S3-compatible storage platform that enables service providers and enterprises to build reliable, affordable and scalable hybrid cloud storage solutions”.
Veritas Technologies, which has headquarters in Mountain View, California, United States, offers Backup Exec 15 - a “backup and recovery solution for mid-sized organizations across virtual, physical and cloud data sets”. By adding Cloudian HyperStore S3 Connector support to the solution’s Feature Pack 5, Backup Exec 15 now offers “seamless integration with storage appliances running Cloudian HyperStore”. This is the second Veritas product to feature Cloudian HyperStore integration.
“As more organizations diversify their data storage across myriad platforms, it’s critical to ensure comprehensive backup and recovery solutions are in place,” explained Cloudian’s Chief Product Officer, Paul Turner. “Cloudian is the industry’s only 100 percent S3 compatible cloud storage software, making Cloudian HyperStore the ideal choice to equip Veritas with end-to-end S3 storage integration for its customers’ hybrid cloud storage needs.”
