Idox Software Ltd (Idox) is now included on the G-Cloud 7 Digital Marketplace. Idox, whose head offices are in Arlington Business Park, Theale, United Kingdom, provides software solutions and consultancy services to public sector organizations across the UK. Its inclusion to the G-Cloud 7 Digital Marketplace will give the company greater access to UK government contracts.
The G-Cloud initiative was established in 2012 and the procurement framework went live on 23 November 2015. It was designed to help UK government bodies and “related entities” select cloud computing information technology services. Public sector organizations can buy services directly from providers listed on G-Cloud without the requirement to engage in a full procurement process.
The most recent iteration of G-Cloud came into force at the end of November 2015 and provides an online marketplace where public sector bodies can buy cloud-based services without having to run full tender processes. As part of the scheme, Idox is now able to offer software solutions and consultancy services in marketplace where business has already been done to a value of £430 ($641) million.
