Intelligent data management services provider
Veeam has expanded its partnership with technology conglomerate Cisco. Veeam has headquarters in Baar, Switzerland. Established in 2006, the company bills itself as offering “intelligent data management for the hyper-available enterprise” and specializes in moving data across multi-cloud infrastructures. With more than 300,000 customers in around 30 countries, the company was in the news earlier this month for extending its partnership with hosting provider RapidScale. Together Veeam and Cisco will deliver Veeam availability on the Cisco HyperFlex data management platform.
Cisco, which has headquarters in San Jose, California, was established in 1984. A global brand, Cisco offers the hardware, software, and service offerings needed to establish Internet solutions. It offers services in a number of areas including cloud, collaboration, data center services and virtualization. Its solutions are sold directly and through an enormous network of channel partners. Cisco and Veeam will work together to establish a “new, highly resilient data management platform that provides seamless scalability, ease of management, and support for multi-cloud environments”. The new offering brings together the ‘Veeam Hyper-Availability Platform’ and Cisco’s HyperFlex ‘Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI)’ solution for the benefit of IT organizations that are currently utilizing legacy technologies that cannot scale or offer hyper-availability.

Customers will have the benefit of purchasing from one vendor as this solution will be offered directly from Cisco.
