May 29, 2008
May 29, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Virtual solutions provider Intercept to will provide managed hosted IT services to charity New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) - a charity that advises donors and funders on “how to give more effectively”. The charity has awarded Intercept a three year contract for its OnlineDesktop Solution. According to the company, the agreement “will encompass the provision of all business applications software, hosting in Intercept's secure data centers, and the provision of technical support to all NPC's staff”.

Established in 2002, NPC was set up by financiers to give “independent advice on giving money to charity”. The charity has a team of over 40 staff and researches where donors would make the most “rewarding and effective investment”. The charity chose Intercept's OnlineDesktop Solution based on its track record in delivering virtual IT solutions and its understanding of NPC's requirements.

"We needed an IT solution to support our growth whilst ensuring that we were getting the best possible value from our investment,” explained NPC’s Chief Operating Officer, Jocelyn James. “In addition, we wanted to enable our staff to work flexibly from home or an alternative location when needed, whilst ensuring information security and business continuity."

"We are very excited to be partnering with a charitable organization as passionate about changing lives as NPC, and look forward to a long and close relationship, with us indirectly supporting its tremendous work through the cost effective and productive use of IT,” added the Chief Executive of Intercept, Ian Readman.
