Interconnection and colocation company
Cologix has announced a 15,000 square foot expansion in central Vancouver, Canada. The company, which has headquarters in Denver, Colorado, USA, is expanding into a new Tier 3 designed data center at 1050 West Pender Street in a move designed to meet current demand for "network neutral colocation space". Completion of Phase One of the project is earmarked for the first quarter 2014 and it will support more than 350 cabinets at full capacity.
Cologix, Inc. provides scalable interconnection services and colocation services through facilities in Dallas, Minneapolis, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver that offer 330 network choices and twelve prime interconnection locations. The company caters to a customer base of over 550 customers in a number of sectors, including managed services, cloud, media, content, financial services and enterprise customers. 451 Research recently described Cologix as the only data center provider in Vancouver that specializes in colocation and interconnection.
“Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada and our experience in the market shows it has been underserved from a data Center perspective for some time,” suggested Cologix Canada's President, Sean Maskell. “We field regular requests from our diverse global customer base for establishing a connectivity-centric presence in Vancouver. In addition, Vancouver is home to a thriving set of tech savvy businesses that have not had access to reliable colocation capacity downtown and we look forward to fulfilling that need.”
