IPI Solutions Nigeria Ltd. (IPI Solutions) has announced the launch of a new web hosting platform. Award-winning IPI Solutions aims to become “the most valuable Business Technology Solution Provider in Africa”. Established in 2008, the company has headquarters in the Nigerian capital, Lagos.
A 1-Tier CSP Microsoft Partner who won the “Microsoft Partner of the Year Competency Award 2016” from Microsoft Nigeria, the company provides a broad range of services. These include cloud options, Microsoft Office 365, hybrid integration services and Microsoft licensing options. Known as Tucana NG (Tucana), IPI Solutions’ latest offering is designed to address difficulties and simplify processes associated with web hosting and the first web hosting and domain sales platform of its kind in the country.
Tucana was launched to encourage individuals and businesses in Nigeria to establish an effective online presence. Built on Microsoft Azure, the service addresses one of the main challenges for web hosts in the country, that being able to provide an ongoing level of support that is suitable for enterprise users. Users receive 99.9% uptime and “24/7×365 billing and technical support via live chat, emails and telephone calls”.
“Tucana was built as a result of the observation in the tech industry in Nigeria. It is so disorganised that people host in different places, especially outside the country and users’ complaints usually on constant down-time and poor customer support,” explained IPI Solutions’ CEO Adamu Garba. “This is because we want the traffic to be regulated in Nigeria. One of the ways we want to accomplish this is by hosting DNS server ourselves. We also have accreditation with NIRA as one of the .NG premium providers which as a result, makes our domain cheaper”.
