Accenture has acquired security and consulting company Deja vu Security. Accenture, which has headquarters in Dublin, Ireland and a global presence which includes customers in over 120 countries, was established in 1989. The company operates “the world’s largest delivery network” and bills itself as “a leading global professional services company” whose services and solutions address business functions that include strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations. The company has a staff of around 450,000 worldwide and it caters to customers in at least 40 industries. Accenture’s acquisition is intended to help its customers that leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) develop “cyber awareness”.
Deja vu Security has headquarters in Seattle, Washington, United States, and was established in 2008. The company’s cybersecurity services protect “some of the largest organizations in the world”. “Among the best in the industry”, these services and extend to complex software, embedded devices, cloud services, and blockchain platforms. The company’s work with embedded and IoT devices was of particular interest Accenture. Financial aspects of the deal were not announced. Deja vu Security has been absorbed by Accenture Security’s ‘Cyber Defense’ team, underscoring the company’s commitment to innovation and developing next generation cybersecurity.
