United Technology Group (UTG) has acquired managed services provider Magnicom. The company, which was established in 2004, caters to a business customer base in Atlanta, Georgia. It has been has been awarded a number of destinations, including being mentioned five times in the Inc. 5000 awards. UTG’s purchase of Magnicom adds a wealth of technical personnel to its ranks as well as expanding its managed services activity.
Magnicom’s managed services focus specifically on the financial and healthcare industries. The company’s headquarters are in Dunwoody, Georgia. The acquisition will extend UTG's ability to provide “efficient, consistent and scalable managed and professional IT services”. It underlines UTG’s expansion strategy – this is the fourth company it has purchased to date.

"Our dedicated relationship managers, solutions architects, and project managers allow us to maintain the highest level of relationship and efficiency with our clients while allowing our technical personnel to stay focused on problem solving." "Our highest and most immediate priority is ensuring the continuation of seamless service and support for Magnicom clients," added UTG’s COO, Mike Verner. "Smooth integration of operations and employees is also a critical focal point for us."
