Juniper Networks Protects Customers From New Microsoft Vulnerabilities Disclosed

November 10, 2011
November 10, 2011 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) confirmed its Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) security systems and Integrated Security Gateway (ISG) firewall/virtual private network (VPN) systems with IDP offer protection for new Microsoft vulnerabilities announced today.

Additionally, Juniper Networks is now a member of the Microsoft Active Protection Program (MAPP), a program for security software providers whereby Juniper Networks receives security vulnerability information from the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) in advance of Microsoft's monthly security updates. The MAPP program enables Juniper to respond and confirm that a protection has been released. Information on threat responses can be seen at http://www.juniper.net/security/mapp. As part of the MAPP process, on the third business day, Microsoft publishes the list of partners who have protections in place within the first 48 hours. This process enables Juniper's customers to stay protected from everyday vulnerabilities and threats.

More detailed information about all of the month's Microsoft vulnerabilities can be obtained from the Juniper Networks J-Security Center at http://www.juniper.net/security or from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.aspx
