KEMP Technologies has aided Hyundai UK in successfully migrating to the Microsoft Exchange 2010 solution. The exchange system will be supporting around 200 users over three different sites in the UK along with a remote field team that looks after their dealership network.
The sites include the company's Headquarters and Training Academy in High Wycombe along with the manufacturer's largest site at Tilbury East London Docks, which processes over 65,000 imported vehicles per year.
The car manufacturers will also be using KEMP LoadMaster 2200, a solution which ensures an uninterrupted email service, and is Microsoft Certified for use with Exchange 2010.
Hyundai's IT team has built two virtual Exchange servers in order to accommodate for the exchange system, which were based on VMWare, and according to OJ Chakrabarti, Systems & Infrastructure Manager at Hyundai Motor UK, the system will be vital to their future growth.
"Load balancing is a core part of our Exchange 2010 solution now and into the future as the business in the UK continues to expand," said Chakrabarti.
"Getting the configuration right from the outset was key and KEMP provided the level of specialist knowledge of load balancing in an Exchange 2010 environment that played a vital part in our successful migration."
LoadMaster 2200 allows users to fully benefit from applications and protocols used by Exchange 2010, such as Outlook Web Access, ActiveSync and RPC Client Access.
Through the work of both Hyundai and KEMP's technical support team, the new email service was successfully configured with the first weekend of its use reporting no loss of email.
