Kevin Costello Joins the Board of Directors of Managed Cloud Company Rackspace
Mr. Kevin Costello has joined the Board of Directors of managed cloud company Rackspace. Founder of OpenStack, San Antonio-based Rackspace is a recognized cloud and hybrid cloud leader. The company offers a range of services that allow its customers to focus on their core competencies rather than IT. Its solutions cater to around 300,000 business customers and include single- or multi-tenant servers, as well as a combination of platforms. Mr. Costello joins the company’s board after a lengthy career in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry.

Mr. Costello, who lives in Atlanta, is a graduate of the University of Illinois where he achieved a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. His career has included 6 years as President of software and consulting services company Ariba, Inc. where he was responsible for establishing the “strategic vision and operational guidance” that helped the company change into a global cloud computing and commerce management solutions provider. He remained at the company after SAP’s acquisition in 2012. Previous to this he spent 18 years at Andersen Business Consulting.

“Kevin is a highly regarded and capable leader in the SaaS space who brings more than 25 years of consulting and advisory experience,” explained Rackspace’s Chairman, Graham Weston. “He has helped numerous companies improve their competitive position through technology, strategy and services. Kevin will be a great addition to the board and a valuable member of the Rackspace team as we continue to gain momentum and grow in the managed cloud market segment.”
