Kit Merker has joined Distribution-as-a-Service (DaaS) provider
JFrog. JFrog, which has headquarters in Netanya, Israel, is a software start-up that caters to both software developers and DevOps teams. The company bills itself as having “changed the way coders are building, managing and distributing software”. Its products and services include the JFrog Artifactory, the Universal Artifact Repository, JFrog Bintray, the Universal Distribution Platform, JFrog Mission Control, and JFrog Xray.
The company caters to around 2,500 customers (including companies like Amazon, Google, and LinkedIn) and “millions of developers globally rely on JFrog's world-class infrastructure for software management and distribution”, with over 60,000 installations of its solutions to date. Mr. Merker joins the company as Vice President of Business Development
A 15-year industry veteran who specializes in container and cloud-native services, Mr. Merker joins JFrog from Google. At Google he was a product manager for Google Container Engine, Container Registry, and Cloud Launcher. Prior to Google, he was at Microsoft for 10 years in a number of positions, including head of Bing’s engineering systems product team. At JFrog his role will be to generate growth and determine corporate strategy.
