July 6, 2007 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Live Earth, the 24-hour, 7-continent concert series occurring on July 7, 2007 to combat climate change, has chosen AISO.Net (http://www.aiso.net) to provide environmentally friendly web hosting for Live Earths website, it was announced recently. AISO.Net claim to be the world's first and only solar-powered hosting company and has custom designed a dedicated solution to power Live Earth's site using energy efficient IBM BladeCenter servers with Second-Generation AMD Opteron processors.
Live Earth will stage concerts in New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg and Hamburg, and feature The Police, Genesis, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, Black Eyed Peas, and Jack Johnson.

To support Live Earth goal AISO.Net is making additional green enhancements to its data center. This includes recycled carpeting, replacing fluorescent light bulbs with LED lighting, repainting the building using only environmentally safe paint and installing an underground grey water tank that will provide for outdoor landscaping.
