LumaDock, a London-based cloud infrastructure provider, today announced a strategic partnership with Neurometric, a New York-based AI inference company, to help customers significantly reduce the cost of running self-hosted AI agents. Through the collaboration, Neurometric’s ClawPack is now integrated with LumaDock’s purpose-built OpenClaw VPS hosting, providing users with an optimized solution to lower AI inference expenses without disrupting existing workflows.
OpenClaw, the open-source AI agent platform, allows users to connect their agents to their preferred frontier AI models. However, when every task is processed through premium models, costs can quickly increase — especially for customers running agents continuously.
ClawPack addresses this challenge by intelligently routing workloads based on complexity. Routine tasks such as classification, information extraction, and summarization are handled by specialized Small Language Models (SLMs), while advanced frontier models remain available for tasks that require deeper reasoning. According to Neurometric, this approach can reduce frontier model usage by 60% to 90% while maintaining comparable output quality.
With LumaDock’s OpenClaw VPS offering, both the agent environment and ClawPack are pre-configured on Ubuntu 24.04, allowing customers to deploy quickly by simply adding their Neurometric API key. ClawPack operates alongside existing frontier models through an OpenAI-compatible interface, ensuring current OpenClaw deployments continue running without modification.
Neurometric also provides a free tier with 100 million tokens per month and no credit card requirement, enabling customers to test and measure potential cost savings based on their own AI workloads.
