Managed cloud company
Rackspace has announced an agreement with software corporation SAP. With headquarters in Windcrest, Texas, United States, Rackspace provide cloud solutions that allow business to “tap the power of cloud computing without the complexity and cost of managing it all on their own”. Established in 1998, the company leverages the power of cloud platforms like AWS, Google, Microsoft, OpenStack and VMware to offer its services. The agreement will see Rackspace provide a partner managed cloud for SAP software solutions.
With headquarters in Walldorf, Germany, SAP is “a market leader in enterprise application software”. The company offers businesses of all sizes a range offers services designed to help the “run better”. Its solutions apply to every part of a company, from “back office to boardroom”. The company has around 296,000 customers in 190 countries. Rackspace will provide SAP with a subscription-based offering of SAP solutions in its private hosted cloud.
Rackspace will provide a “cost-effective, on-demand, cloud-based delivery model of their SAP software solutions” which are supported by application migration, implementation, management and support services. The offering will allow its customers to quickly and easily implement SAP software without the considerable investment in infrastructure, staffing and licensing usualy associated when businesses deploy software on-premise.

"By delivering a partner managed cloud, we’re allowing customers to quickly adopt the latest transformative SAP technologies without the high cost often associated with innovation.”
