Managed Cloud Company Rackspace Announces Strategic Relationship with Google Cloud
Managed cloud company Rackspace
has announced a new strategic relationship with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Rackspace, which bills itself as “the #1 managed cloud company”, has headquarters in Windcrest, Texas, United States. The company offers a range of cloud solutions that help companies “tap the power of cloud computing without the complexity and cost of managing it all on their own”. The company leverages AWS, Google, Microsoft, OpenStack and VMware to cater for a global customer bases that spans 150 countries. Google Cloud and Rackspace will work together on new managed services for Google Cloud Platform customers.

The collaboration will benefit GCP customers by adding support for cloud architecture, onboarding and data migration, alongside additional operational support. Rackspace’s ‘Fanatical Support for Google Cloud’ will help customers meet their business requirements more effectively. Still in Beta, those interested in signing up for the joint program can do so through the Rackspace website.

“Rackspace’s commitment to providing results-obsessed customer service mirrors Google’s commitment to customer support,” explained Google Cloud’s Director, Engineering Support, Benjamin Smith. “We’re working with Rackspace to extend on-call engineering support to our shared customers. Rackspace already has Google Certified Professionals on staff, and we will continue to work together to roll out managed services for GCP.”
