Managed Cloud Company Rackspace Offers Multi-Cloud Security for Microsoft Azure
Managed cloud company Rackspace has announced it now offers its Rackspace Managed Security multi-cloud security solution for Microsoft Azure. The move comes as a surprise as earlier this week the company was reported to have sold its cloud hosting business to web host and cloud services provider Liquid Web. As well as Microsoft Azure, Rackspace Managed Security is currently available for Amazon Web Services and Rackspace’s dedicated and virtualized environments.

Rackspace has headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, United States and offers services that include hybrid hosting, managed dedicated hosting and managed cloud. Rackspace Managed Security for Microsoft Azure offers Rackspace customers an “Aviator” level of its ‘Fanatical Support’ for Azure. The solution can “identify and respond to advanced cyber threats” notifying users about breaches and either “leaving it to the customer to respond” or utilizing pre-approved actions designed to address security issues.

"In today's cybersecurity landscape, organizations are no longer asking if they should have a security solution in place, but rather whether they should do it themselves or partner with a trusted managed security service provider," explained Rackspace Managed Security’s General Manager, Brannon Lacey. "We are proud to extend this security solution to Azure, as it represents the continued growth of our Managed Security capabilities and aligns with the overall Rackspace mission to provide the best expertise and service across the world's leading clouds."
