Managed cloud hosting provider
ServInt is offering customers free subscription to StopTheHacker malware detection software, worth $120. The move is intended to help customers establish if website pages are affected by known malware and viruses and to check if their domains are blacklisted by search engines.
The San Francisco-based StopTheHacker organization is a startup providing SaaS services with a focus on "cyber warfare in the arenas of web malware, security and reputation protection". The multiple-award winning StopTheHacker software is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation and protects users from a range of threats. ServInt customers will be provided with one free subscription (which allows users to monitor one domain name) per server leased through ServInt.
“In our opinion, malware is the number one external threat faced by today’s online businesses,” explained Mike Witty, ServInt's Director of Network Compliance. “In addition to the damaged reputations businesses suffer when their site unwittingly does harm to their customers, blacklisting by major search engines results in those sites losing all the SEO and general goodwill they may have earned over the years. We think offering our clients access to protection from these threats is a basic business obligation.”
Established in 1995, Northern Virginia-based ServInt offers a range of services including IaaS, PaaS, and VPS options alongside dedicated server packages.
