Managed Cloud Services Provider Carbon60 Acquires Cirrus9
Managed cloud services provider Carbon60 has acquired Cirrus9, another cloud provider. The company, which has headquarters in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canda, was established in 1999. It provides managed cloud hosting and IT services to public and private organizations with “business-critical applications”. Carbon60’s cloud platform benefits from “comprehensive technical support services” and “end-to-end service level guarantees”. Offering a hybrid IT approach, the company operates through its own data centers in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Beyond this, the company designs, builds, manages and optimizes its customers’ AWS and Azure workloads. Financial aspects of its acquisition of Cirrus9 were not released.

Established in 2010, Cirrus9 is located in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The company operates multiple carrier-neutral data centers through which it offers managed enterprise cloud infrastructure and related hosting services. Its services extend to managed cloud and Canadian data residency options, data security compliance, and regional fiber and telephony connectivity. As with Carbon60, it caters to public sector customers and private entities in industries as diverse as telecommunications, energy, financial services, and healthcare. The acquisition will offer Carbon60 a presence on the North American Atlantic coast.

“Cirrus9 is a valuable addition to the Carbon60 organization with a team of skilled technical personnel and an impressive list of major enterprise clients across Canada,” explained Carbon60’s CEO, John Witte. “Cirrus9 is a natural fit with Carbon60’s strategy to lead businesses across Canada in their IT cloud transformations combined with a culture of delivering superior client experiences.”

“The Cirrus9 team is excited to be joining Carbon60,” added Cirrus9’s CEO, Fred Bullock. “Carbon60 shares our belief in delivering high-quality client experience as a way to differentiate in the fragmented managed services market. As the market continues to evolve, clients are increasingly looking for a trusted partner to support their businesses across multiple cloud platforms. Cirrus9’s clients will be able to leverage Carbon60’s managed AWS and Azure cloud design, migration, and management expertise for secure and compliant cloud-native and hybrid cloud transformation.”
