Managed cloud services provider
RapidScale and hybrid technology brokerage firm Opex Technologies (Opex) have formed a partnership. RapidScale, which has headquarters in Irvine, California, United States, also has offices in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It offers a number of hosting-related services including its proprietary CloudServer, CloudDesktop, CloudOffice, CloudMail, CloudRecovery, and CloudApps services alongside Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) packages. Together RapidScale and Opex Technologies will offer managed cloud services that include Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) to smaller businesses in the south-east of the United States.
Opex, which has headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, was established in 2004. The company is a “hybrid technology brokerage and adviser for cloud, data center, security and network offerings”. It offers a similar range of products and services to RapidScale, with the inclusion of options such as VoIP. The partnership will give businesses “regardless of size or industry” the ability to utilize cloud services “delivered by IT and technology personnel with support, management and enterprise-grade infrastructure”. Both companies have a history of cooperation, the two most recently providing services for the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association (NCSA).
