October 15, 2008 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Managed dedicated hosting provider SingleHop, Inc. (http://www.singlehop.com) has completed a $100,000 memory upgrade project, the company announced recently. The upgrade means that the Chicago-based company is now offering a minimum of 2 GBs of RAM free of charge to all new and current customers. The upgrade impacts over 900 SingleHop customers who had less than 2 GB of RAM in July 2008.
We accomplished two very important goals through our upgrade program, explained SingleHops President, Zak Boca. First we increased the satisfaction and loyalty of our existing clients by giving them an upgrade for free. Second, we made our server offerings more competitive with the overall marketplace.
A lot of hosting providers like to upgrade their packages for new clients, but don t touch the packages for existing customers. In our opinion this is counter-productive. Were just as concerned with keeping current customers happy as we are with attracting new ones. Happy customers provide the best word of mouth advertising you cant buy! Finally, we believe that upgrading clients server memory will yield fewer technical problems and more powerful servers, added SingleHops VP Dan Ushman.
SingleHop has launched a number of product offerings recently, including the IPCast Pay-As-You-Go Content Delivery Network; the announcement of LEAP, the server manager webtop client portal; the companys free 2GB RAM upgrade for existing clients; the release of Advanced Automatic Server Provisioning (AASP), and LEAP, which drastically increases server installation time as well as reduces human error. Additionally LEAP features SingleHops exclusive IP ensure technology, which guarantees that clients will only receive clean IP addresses.
