November 3, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Managed dedicated hosting provider SingleHop, Inc. (http://www.singlehop.com/) is offering Atom servers, it was announced today. The Chicago-based company will deploy the dual core Intel server at “ultra competitive” rates.

“The Intel processor is based on an entirely new design, built for low power,” explained Sean Maloney, Executive Vice President at Intel. Based on Intel’s Dual-Core Technology, the Atom 330 runs at 1.6GHz and offers 1MB of cache. Other specifications include a 533MHz FSB and 64-bit processing “with a peak TDP of only 8W.”
