CentriLogic has acquired managed IT infrastructure solutions provider Advanced Knowledge Networks (AKN). CentriLogic, which has headquarters in Rochester, New York, United States and Toronto, Ontario, Canada, owns data centers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
CentriLogic offers a range of services alongside managed hosting, including cloud computing, co-location, and advanced IT outsourcing options. It prides itself on offering “adaptable and dependable IT solutions” that support their customers’ “unique application and workload requirements”. The acquisition will add to CentriLogic's service capabilities and broaden its market access across Canada. The company will absorb AKN's entire workforce.
AKN was established in 2000 and provides managed IT solutions to business customers of a range of sizes in Canada, particularly Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Halifax. The company’s customers include major-name companies. Its services include hosting, cloud, and private Wide Area Network (WAN) services. Together the two companies can offer a “one-stop shop for all IT outsourcing requirements”. CentriLogic's acquisition benefits AKN's customers by offering them “full spectrum of adaptable and compliant hosting services” while CentriLogic's customers will benefit from AKN's secure managed infrastructure and network offerings.
"We believe that our two companies combined will serve Canadian and International organizations through delivering a wide variety of adaptable offerings for IT infrastructure management, while enabling CentriLogic to immediately extend our Canadian presence from Ontario to nationwide," explained CentriLogic’s CEO and President, Robert Offley.
