Layered Technologies, Inc., a leading global provider of compliant hosting, managed dedicated hosting and on-demand virtualization/cloud computing services, has named Brad Hokamp president of the company. With more than 26 years of IT and networking experience, Hokamp will spearhead Layered Tech’s sales, marketing, product management, business-development and customer service initiatives. Layered Tech founder Todd Abrams will now focus exclusively on further expanding the company’s roster of enterprise clients as executive vice president of business development and strategic alliances.
Hokamp’s deep technology and enterprise experience includes more than 10 years with Savvis Inc., where he was senior vice president and general manager of the $575 million Hosting Business Unit; prior to that, he was senior vice president of sales for Savvis’ eastern area and federal sales. Most recently, Hokamp was the chief marketing officer for Telx, which is a leader in the collocation and interconnection market. Hokamp also spent 15 years in sales and marketing leadership roles with Sprint’s business markets division, focused on Internet and data communications services.
