Managed hosting provider ServInt
has launched a new ‘High Availability (HA)’ Solid State Disk (SSD) Virtual Private Server (VPS) option - HA SSD VPS. With head offices in Reston, Virginia, United States, ServInt was established in 1995. Alongside VPS the company provides services that include dedicated servers and hybrid hosting. Its new HA SSD VPS packages offer “99.999% uptime” and can recover from hardware failure “in less than 60 seconds with data intact”.
HA SSD VPS packages offer a “turnkey, virtual environment with a traditional LAMP stack and managed support”. ServInt has leveraged SimpleScale - a C# framework that scales parallel problems across multiple servers - to provide a service with such high levels of uptime. HA SSD VPS provides an AWS-style platform in a VPS environment and is “ideal for anyone who relies heavily on their website or applications for uptime”.
A highly scalable solution, HA SSD VPS offers “seamless upgrades or downgrades” that extend to ‘HA Dedicated Server’ when required. Clients can also transition to an AWS platform as their business requirements dictate. ServInt’s support team also manages all cloud migrations. HA SSD VPS packages also offer a range of features including daily off-server backups, Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) stack software and free cPanel/WHM server administration licensing. Costs start at as little as $39 a month.
“The HA SSD VPS plans we’ve designed are a real game changer for small-to-medium businesses,” explained Reed Caldwell, the CEO of ServInt. “Whether you’re hosting your online store, or reselling shared hosting packages, uptime is always a concern – and until recently – there wasn’t a cost-effective way to cobble together a highly available solution. That’s all changed with the aggressive pricing and resource allocations we’re providing on these VPS packages. Compared to the competition, it’s like we’re including high availability at no extra cost.”Do you know of any other companies offering new services? Let us know the details. Add your comments below.
