A number of companies have agreed to sponsor the
Managed Services and Hosting Summit that takes place at the Lancaster London Hotel in London on 26 September 2013. The event is a "management-level" gathering designed to enable channel organizations to recognize opportunities brought on by the increase in demand for managed and hosted services.
The event aims to provide a platform where industry players can meet and establish partnerships by bringing together hardware and software vendors, hosting providers, telecommunications companies, mobile operators and web services providers involved in managed services.
The Managed Services and Hosting Summit 2013 will offer a detailed conference program which looks at how new business models might change the role of information technology. Gartner Research's VP Tiffani Bova is confirmed as a keynote speaker. The event will also offer an exhibition and networking area where vendor and service provider demonstrations will take place and sponsors and delegates can meet participants.
Managed Services is a major growth area, with research company Insight Research suggesting revenue is forecast to grow at 11.3% CAGR until 2017. This growth has spurred a number of companies to sponsor the Managed Services and Hosting Summit. IT Europa and Angel Business Communications, the organizers of the event, have suggested that IBM, Arrow ECS, ccapps, Symantec, Adaptec and Webroot now stand alongside AVG, Autotask, Dot Hill, EVault, Gigamon, Interxion and Tarmin as sponsors.
“With economies around the world showing no signs of any rapid growth, IT departments seem to be turning to Managed Services organizations to either take over the running of some of their IT services, allowing them to focus on new developments, or use Managed Services and the Cloud to enable them to deliver new applications without up-front capital or manpower investments,” explained Managed Services and Hosting Summit's Content Director, John Chapman.
