The
Managed Services and Hosting Summit takes place 26 September 2013. Organized by IT Europa and Angel Business Communications, the event will investigate the rapid rise in demand for managed services amongst SMEs and enterprises, and consider changes required in the industry to meet this demand.
The daylong event will take place at the Lancaster London Hotel and bring together IT leaders and a range of channel organizations A number of industry heavyweights will take part in the proceedings, including Arrow ECS, IBM, HP, Symantec, Gartner and ccapps. To date, 240 executive representatives from British managed service providers, systems integrators and solution VARs have confirmed attendance.
The event will see Gartner analyst Tiffani Bova divulge findings from the organization's research on how channels are impacting managed services and hosting. Another speaker, Tim Walker, Managing Director at Taylor Made Computer Solutions, will consider the ‘Secrets of Success’ for potential managed services providers.
Mr. Walker will be joined by Arrow ECS's VP of Business Innovation, Steve Pearce, who will give insights into the importance of partnerships in successful managed services provision. A panel discussion on ‘The Role of the Managed Services and Hosting Provider’ will include representatives of the events' "Gold" sponsors including Autotask, AVG, CA Technologies, Dot Hill, EVault, Interxion, Tarmin and Webroot. Later in the day Simon Porter, VP Mid-Market Sales Europe at IBM, will offer attendees IBM’s vision of the future for the IT industry and the managed services and hosting market.
