REAN Cloud LLC (REAN Cloud) is to be acquired by Hitachi subsidiary Hitachi Vantara. REAN Cloud has headquarters in Herndon, Virginia, United States and is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Partner. The company’s suite of services includes managed services for hyperscale integrated Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) options. It also provides Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions as well as security, ‘Big Data’ and analytics services to a range of industries. Financial aspects of Hitachi Vantara’s acquisition have not been released.
Hitachi Vantara, which has headquarters in Santa Clara, California, United States, was established in 2017. A wholly owned subsidiary of Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan-based global technology brand Hitachi, Ltd., the company helps enterprises underpin business decisions by finding and using the “the value in their data”. Its business activity also includes Internet of Things (IoT) and enterprise storage solutions. Hitachi Vantara’s acquisition comes after a major US Department of Defense (DoD) contract worth around $950 million REAN Cloud won earlier this year was cancelled. Hitachi Vantara will continue to offer REAN Cloud's products and services to US government agencies. The acquisition is expected to be finalized by the close of the year.
