Management Solutions Provider Veritas Announces Launch of Google Cloud-based Solutions
Management solutions provider Veritas Technologies (Veritas) has announced the launch of Google cloud-based solutions. Veritas, which has headquarters in Mountain View, California, United States, is a “leader in information management”. The company offers a wide range of products and services including backup and recovery options, business continuity storage management, and information governance options alongside multi-vendor hybrid cloud solutions. Veritas is offering NetBackup 7.7 and Backup Exec 15 solutions with Google Cloud Platform support.

Veritas NetBackup 7.7 provides a cost-effective alternative to taped storage for long-term data backup storage. Coupled with the Google Cloud Platform, it facilitates the backup of “large volumes” of easily accessible data. Backup Exec 15 offers mid-sized organizations “powerful, flexible, and easy-to-use” data protection. The solution allows backups from virtual, physical and cloud storage and in conjunction with Google Cloud provides “compelling advantages for organizations” including reduced risks and costs.

“Our Hybrid Cloud research shows that 31 percent of organizations are already looking to the cloud for their backup and recovery workload, and that percentage will grow even more in the future,” explained the CMO of Veritas, Ben Gibson. “Integrating our market leading NetBackup and Backup Exec solutions with Google Cloud Platform gives organizations the ability to confidently and securely do this today.”
