Manoj Saxena Leaves IBM Watson to Join The Entrepreneur's Fund
The General Manager of IBM's Watson Solutions group Manoj Saxena has left the corporation to join The Entrepreneur's Fund, a Silicon Valley-based venture organization. After the move he will act as an advisor to the Watson Group’s new senior VP, Michael Rhodin.

Mr. Saxena’s departure comes in the wake of IBM’s recent announcement that it would invest in excess of $1 billion in Watson-related activity with the aim of it generating $20 billion in revenue by 2015.

At IBM Mr. Saxena was responsible for developing revenue potential for IBM’s Watson supercomputer, which is famed for winning an episode of the world famous television game show ‘Jeopardy!’. Mr. Saxena has spearheaded IBM’s moves to allow a range of industries, such as the financial services and health care industries, to benefit from IBM Watson’s massive computing capability.

The Entrepreneur's Fund focuses on supporting enterprise software companies and in his new role he will be responsible for expanding cognitive computing apps that leverage the Watson data analytics platform, especially those in the health care, retail, travel, financial industries. Already Saxena has invested in Welltok, a health care management company located in Denver, Colorado which leverages Watson solutions.
