Mellin was elected to Rackspace's Board of Directors at its annual meeting of stockholders, held on May 13, 2009. Mr. Mellin has also been appointed to serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Compensation
Committee.

Mark P. Mellin is a certified public accountant and previously was the managing partner of the San Antonio office of Arthur Andersen LLP, an international accounting and consulting firm. During his tenure at Arthur Andersen, Mr. Mellin oversaw the operations of the audit, tax and consulting practice of the San Antonio office and served as an auditor and financial advisor to numerous public and private companies. Additionally, Mr. Mellin was senior vice-president and chief financial officer of Ilex Oncology, Inc., a San Antonio publicly traded bio-pharmaceutical company which was acquired by Genzyme Corporation.
