Mark Russell Joins Managed Services Provider Global Cloud Xchange
Mr. Mark Russell has joined managed services provider Global Cloud Xchange (GCX). The company, a Reliance Communications subsidiary, offers a "comprehensive portfolio of solutions customized for carriers, enterprises and new media companies". This includes products and services such as CLOUD X Fusion, Cloud X Multi-tenant, Cloud X Private and Cloud X Hybrid. It operates a 67,000-route-kilometer private undersea cable network which is integrated with Reliance Communications' 200,000-route-kilometer "domestic optic fiber backbone". GCX provides services in around 160 countries worldwide and Mr. Russell joins the company as President of Europe.

Mr. Russell is a 25-year veteran of the telecom and technology industries. He joins GCX from Netapp Inc. where he was Director of Global Accounts. The London-based company increased revenues by 200% in the first year of his appointment. Before this he was Vice President of Global Sales and Acting CEO at UK-based software company Empower Interactive. At GCX he will be responsible for "developing and executing all corporate strategies and operations" in Europe.

"His extensive knowledge and proven ability in driving business growth will lead GCX to even greater success in this important region."
