Matt Collins has joined cloud services and solutions company
Day1 Solutions. The company, which has headquarters in McLean, Virginia and facilities in Rockville, Maryland, offers a range of services and caters to customers in a range of sectors including government, healthcare and enterprise. Its solutions include Day1 NetApp Cloud, Day1 Cisco Intercloud, Day1 Connect, Day1 Continuous Monitoring aaS and Day1 Automated Migration and DR. Mr. Collins joins the company as Vice President of Engineering and Solutions.
Mr. Collins will be responsible for growing business for the Day1's entire portfolio and be involved in all aspects of the company, including sales, partnerships, cloud computing strategies, and managing emerging technologies. A 30-year industry veteran, Mr. Collins' expertise lies in areas like IT Strategy, security, governance, and compliance strategies. He has served in a number of positions including Amazon Web Services' (AWS') US East Region Professional Services Leader. At AWS he was responsible for strengthening the company's consulting activity and supported AWS customers when transitioning to the cloud. He also worked for Microsoft for 15 years.
