April 8, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – The .ME Registry
has announced two auctions - one this month and one next - for domains not originally allocated in the Sunrise and Landrush auctions last spring. These auctions are scheduled to begin April 23 and again May 14. Each will last 7 days.
"I challenge you to name a ccTLD that is more popular," suggested Predrag Lesic, Executive Director of the .ME Registry in Montenegro. "Dot-ME has experienced lightning quick adoption rates, we believe, because the letters allow for memorable word play."
Domain names involved in the auction:
In late March, the .ME Registry auctioned off 35 domains in an online Sedo auction. The popularity of catch phrase domains like Rock.ME, Pay.ME, Test.ME and Bet.ME turned them into top sellers.
The success of catch phrase domains is measurable and significant. YouAnd.ME, an online dating site, launched on Valentine's Day and already has more than 20,000 members and 60,000 page views per day.
Anyone interested in participating in these auctions will currently need to apply through the following authorized registrars:

- Inames Co
- InterNetX Gmbh
