Meg Bear Joins Cyber Security Solutions Provider Imperva as Senior Vice President of Cloud Services
Meg Bear has joined cyber security solutions provider Imperva. Imperva, which has headquarters in Redwood Shores, California, USA, was established in 2002. The company offers a range of products and services, particularly its Imperva Incapsula, Imperva Skyfence, and Imperva Threat Radar options.

Imperva’s services include web application firewall solutions, website DDoS protection alongside infrastructure and name server DDoS protection. They also include “Big Data” security and solutions for cloud security, which include SecureSphere for AWS. Its professional services extend to training and technical support. Ms. Bear joins the company as Senior Vice President of Cloud Services. She will report to Imperva’s President and CEO, Anthony Bettencourt.

A 20-year industry veteran, Ms. Bear brings substantial software business experience to her new role. She is recognised as a “cloud industry thought leader”, and “holds eleven patents for innovations in data management, social business, recruitment and talent management”. Before joining Imperva she was Oracle’s Group Vice President for Social Cloud. At Oracle she was in charge of the company’s integrated global social suite. Before this she had a number of executive roles at Oracle, including Vice President of Human Capital Management (HCM) Development and Senior Director of Development for Oracle PeopleSoft (which was acquired by Oracle). Before Oracle she was at Saba and later in charge of engineering at SmartDB Software.
