Microsoft Cloud Technology Company Cloud|AG and Software Vendor and Manufacturer AvePoint Partner On Office 365 Protection
Microsoft cloud technology company Cloud|AG and software vendor and manufacturer AvePoint have partnered to cooperate on protection for Office 365 customers. The companies will develop “enhanced security and administration features” designed to protect against data leakage and loss.

Cloud|AG, which has headquarters in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, United States, offers a range of solutions that enable companies to “maximize the power and flexibility of Microsoft’s Office 365 and Azure cloud platform”. Alongside Office 365, its offerings extend to Office 365 Backup, ServicePoint365 and Skype FB Dial-In. AvePoint, which was established in 2001, is a software vendor and manufacturer. The company has headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States. Its specializes in governance, compliance, and management software for enterprise collaboration systems. AvePoint’s Online Services platform extends options for Office 365 customers beyond just “granular backups and restores”.

AvePoint’s platform offers a range of new features which include “Controlled Sharing”. This allows companies to restrict SharePoint Online site and OneDrive for Business content access and sharing by enabling administrators to “better control access to content internally as well as sharing with external parties”. In addition, the future helps keep “data out of the hands of those who should not have it”. The platform also offers “Event-Driven Replication” that allows companies to “publish content to a SharePoint Online site with external sharing enabled and trigger replications between the two repositories”. It also offers an “Exchange Online” app that improves mail restoration. The app allows companies to perform “out-of-place restores” and access resources and mailbox archives.

“Microsoft’s Office 365 platform provides great value to businesses of all sizes but can raise new concerns about data protection,” explained Cloud|AG’s Vice President of Sales, Michael Ganote. “Our solution helps Office 365 customers not only protect themselves from accident or malicious data loss but also addresses data leakage by locking down business content without hindering productivity.”
