Microsoft Dons White Hat Nails Spam King for $7 Mil

August 10, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - One of the world's top 3 spammers, Scott Richter, settled a lawsuit with Microsoft today and has agreed to pay $7 million as well as allowing 3 years of oversight for his Colorado company OptInRealBig which has subsequently filed for bankruptcy.

Mirosoft has pledged to reinvest the money into fighting spam and to opening $1 million to help the poor in New York State.
